Representative Rosangela Moro (União-SP) presented Request 2467/2024, with the objective to withdraw the Legislative Decree Bill 315/2024. She had sponsored the bill to suspend the effects of Ordinance SECTICS/MS No. 30, of June 26, 2024, which “makes public the decision not to incorporate, within the scope of the Unified Health System – SUS, inebilizumab in the treatment of adult patients with neuromyelitis optica spectrum disorders (DENMO) who are seropositive for the immunoglobulin G antiaquaporin-4 (AQP4-IgG)”.
The congresswoman had argued that the ordinance does not demonstrate transparency about when Conitec’s recommendation report on this technology will be available, meaning that the requirements of inclusion and objectivity are also not respected.
On Wednesday (3), the Federal Senate discussed the technologies for neuromyelitis optica in a public hearing at Social Affairs Committee.
