Brasília – The Minister of Health, Nísia Trindade, announced this Wednesday (31) more than R$400 million in investments to conduct health research. The announcement was made hours after the blocking of the budget in the Ministry was announced.

In a decree published the night before, President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT) ordered the blocking of R$15 billion, of which R$4.4 billion in the Ministry of Health. The department was the most affected in the entire cabinet.

Questioned by JOTA news website, the minister stated that the way the block will be carried out has not yet been defined. The topic, according to her, will be discussed with other members of the government.
