Brasília – Anvisa has prohibited the commercialization, distribution, manufacturing, importation, handling, advertising, and use of glucose-measuring rings—including Glucomax, Glicomax, Glucomax Pro, and similar models—that claim to monitor glucose, oxygen levels, and cardiac activity without the need for blood sampling.
The agency clarified that none of these products have proven efficacy or sanitary registration and noted that they are improperly advertised on various online marketplaces and social media, often using celebrity images to mislead consumers. Consumers are advised not to use these unregistered devices as they pose serious health risks, and may file complaints with Anvisa’s Ombudsman or Customer Service.
