Brasília – Health Minister Alexandre Padilha announced that the regulatory ordinance on pharmaceutical assistance in oncology must be deliberated by the Tripartite Intermanager Commission (CIT) no later than October, even if through an extraordinary meeting.
The ordinance, part of the National Policy for Cancer Prevention and Control (PNPCC), will establish rules for registration, acquisition, distribution, financing, and centralized purchasing of cancer medications within the SUS.
The timeline responds to pressure from the Supreme Court (STF), as Justice Gilmar Mendes set a 60-day deadline for the ordinance to be finalized by the CIT.
