Brasília – The Ministry of Health and the Federal Council of Pharmacy (CFF) have signed a cooperation agreement to reinforce inspection and monitoring activities within the Farmácia Popular program. The partnership aims to ensure greater transparency and efficiency in the use of public funds, improving the quality of pharmaceutical services provided to the population.

Announced on the International Pharmacist Day, the agreement underscores the central role of pharmacists in promoting rational drug use and ensuring compliance with program standards. The initiative also marks the CFF’s return to the Strategic Monitoring Committee of the Farmácia Popular program, expanding its role in oversight and governance.

According to the Ministry of Health, the program currently serves around 26 million people through a network of more than 30,000 partner pharmacies across the country.
