Brasília – The Ministry of Health, in partnership with the National Health Surveillance Agency, has announced that the drug emicizumab will be expanded to children under six years of age with hemophilia through the Unified Health System (SUS).
Unlike traditional treatments that require frequent intravenous infusion of factor VIII, emicizumab is administered subcutaneously—offering a markedly less invasive option and the potential to reduce bleeding episodes and improve quality of life for young patients.
