Brasília – The National Commission for the Incorporation of Technologies in the Unified Health System (Conitec) has updated the criteria for its Patient Perspective program, which allows individuals and caregivers to share their experiences during the evaluation of new technologies within the public health system.

Under the new rules, participants must demonstrate direct experience with the condition or technology being assessed and clearly identify whether they are a patient or caregiver. The measure aims to strengthen the credibility, representativeness, and transparency of patient contributions in Conitec’s deliberative process.
