Brasília – A recent article by Futuro da Saúde highlights the expansion of digital health solutions worldwide, noting that 23.3% of the global population already uses some form of digital health service and more than 122 million people have participated in online medical consultations.

In Brazil, this movement reflects a broader effort to modernize the health system, increase access, and integrate digital tools into both public and private care. The report points to advances in telemedicine, data-driven clinical management, and artificial intelligence applications that are reshaping patient monitoring and decision-making.

Despite significant progress, the country still faces challenges such as unequal connectivity, low digital literacy, and regulatory and privacy hurdles. The publication stresses that sustained investment and professional training will be key to ensuring that digital transformation strengthens the universality and efficiency of the Brazilian health system.
