Brasília – RD Saúde, the parent company of the Raia and Drogasil pharmacy chains, forecasts that injectable weight-loss medications (commonly known as “slimming pens” and based on GLP-1 analogues) will account for double-digit percent growth of its revenue. These products, including brands such as Ozempic and Mounjaro, are identified as major drivers of the company’s pharmacy-segment expansion.

While this represents a strong upside, analysts caution that the sustainability of these gains depends on competitive dynamics—specifically the looming entry of generics and the risk of margin erosion once exclusivity wanes.
