Brasília – Instituto Butantan signs an international partnership to develop what may become Brazil’s first specific treatment for yellow fever. The agreement grants the institute an exclusive license to develop and commercialize the therapy in low- and middle-income countries after the completion of clinical studies and potential regulatory approval.
The initiative focuses on monoclonal antibodies capable of neutralizing the wild-type virus, and includes preclinical research, laboratory development and the evaluation of candidates that may progress to future clinical and regulatory phases.
