Brasília – The Federal Supreme Court (STF) will launch on December 1 a nationwide “National Medications Platform” designed to centralize information on high-cost and non-listed drugs involved in judicial disputes within the public health system. The tool will compile data on medicines requested in lawsuits, amounts paid through court decisions, and the division of financial responsibility among federal, state, and municipal governments.
The initiative aims to guide judges, increase transparency for citizens, and align judicial decisions more closely with public health policy. The platform will integrate with databases from the National Health Surveillance Agency (Anvisa), the National Committee for Health Technology Incorporation (Conitec), and the Drug Market Regulation Chamber (CMED). It will also operate alongside the new version of e-NatJus 4.0, expanding its functionalities to include the private health sector.
