The committee will oversee the implementation of the action plan developed throughout 2025 to address the regulatory backlog and reorganize internal workflows. Its mandate includes monitoring actions related to queue reduction and review deadlines for registrations and other regulatory petitions, aligned with Brazil’s health-surveillance legislation. The group will operate in coordination with the Permanent Committee for Regulatory Actions of the Health Economic-Industrial Complex, created by joint ministerial regulation, reinforcing interinstitutional governance in strategic regulatory matters.
The committee will initially operate for 12 months and may be extended based on results. Its composition includes representatives from Anvisa’s Presidency and all four Directorates, as well as representatives of regulated-sector entities invited according to meeting agendas. Meetings will take place quarterly, with provisions for extraordinary sessions and remote participation. An Executive Secretariat housed within Anvisa’s Planning Advisory Office will provide technical and operational support.
