Brasília – Anvisa issues a clarification reinforcing the prohibition on the entry of weight-loss injection pens that do not have sanitary registration in Brazil. The agency highlights that specific products containing GLP-1 agonists — including T.G.5, Lipoless, Lipoless Eticos, Tirzazep Royal Pharmaceuticals and T.G. Indufar — are subject to resolutions that ban their manufacture, importation, distribution, advertising and use in the national territory.
According to Anvisa, medicines without sanitary registration may only be imported in exceptional situations for personal use and with a medical prescription. In this case, however, the resolutions suspend all import modalities for the listed products due to irregular marketing practices identified by the agency.
