Brasília – The Ministério da Saúde launches the 2025 National Census of CACONs and UNACONs, aiming to map the structure, capacity, and organization of high-complexity oncology services across the country. The initiative seeks to improve the planning and qualification of cancer care within the SUS by generating standardized and updated data on the oncology network.

The census is conducted in partnership with the Federal University of Minas Gerais and includes an online questionnaire for each oncology unit, to be completed by December 20. The information collected will support decisions on infrastructure, resource allocation, and strategies to reduce regional disparities in access to oncology services.
