Brasília – The Federal Court of Accounts (TCU) rules unanimously that Atesta CFM, the digital platform created by the Conselho Federal de Medicina (Federal Council of Medicine) to validate medical certificates, is legal, secure and aligned with the public interest. The decision rejects allegations that the system restricts competition or creates barriers for private digital-health solutions.

The Conselho Administrativo de Defesa Econômica (Administrative Council for Economic Defense) also closes its investigation into the platform, concluding that Atesta CFM does not harm healthtech companies nor impose anticompetitive constraints. According to the ruling, the platform operates as an additional verification tool for authenticity of medical certificates, without preventing or limiting the development of private-sector technologies.
