Brasília – New data from the National Supplementary Health Agency indicate that collective medical-hospital plans register significantly higher premium increases in 2025 compared with individual contracts. Between January and August, the average readjustment for collective plans reaches 11.15%, with small-group contracts experiencing the sharpest increases due to greater cost variability and lower bargaining power.
For individual and family plans, whose adjustments are regulated, the agency sets a maximum increase of 6.06% for the 2025–2026 cycle. The disparity between contract types reinforces longstanding concerns about affordability in the collective segment, particularly among beneficiaries of smaller corporate groups and low-income households.
