Brasília – The National Supplementary Health Agency participates in a meeting held on December 3 with Congressman Domingos Neto, rapporteur of Bill 7419/2006, and Minister of Health Alexandre Padilha to discuss the modernization of Brazil’s health-plan law. The dialogue focuses on ensuring a more balanced and up-to-date legal framework for the supplementary health sector.

According to ANS president Wadih Damous, the reform seeks to guarantee sustainability and equity for all stakeholders, while expanding the quality and diversity of products offered to beneficiaries. He emphasizes that the revision of the law should preserve ANS’s regulatory powers and strengthen the agency’s role in protecting consumers and promoting a more solid supplementary health system.
