Brasília – The Ministry of Health launched a new open data portal aimed at expanding public access to health information and strengthening transparency across federal health policies. The platform consolidates datasets related to the Unified Health System (SUS), health surveillance, financing and service delivery, allowing researchers, policymakers and citizens to analyze and reuse official data more easily. The initiative is part of the ministry’s broader Open Data Plan and aligns with federal digital government and transparency strategies.

At the same time, the Ministry of Health received national recognition for the quality of its Open Data Plan, which was highlighted as a reference for governance, data standardization and public accountability within the federal administration. Officials emphasized that improving data availability and interoperability supports evidence-based decision-making, social control and more efficient public health management.
